Kalaw Place

Tucked away in one of the coves of Puerto Galera, Mindoro, this family-owned guest house is the perfect hideout away from it all.  KALAW PLACE is the “chillest” of the “chillest!”

We stayed at the Main House on top of the hill. We booked the loft type room and it was the best choice! They were kinda strict on the number of pax per room tho, but it’s totally understandable.✌

There are several rooms to choose from, which can accommodate couples or small groups. All other information like location, transportation, rates are posted on their website.

There’s no pool but it doesn’t matter because you have a whole cove to enjoy. It could be mistaken for a lake but it’s actually a small arm of the sea. To reach that from the main house, guests just have to descend via concrete steps for like 5-7 minutes. Make sure to bring everything you need so you don’t have to climb again. There’s a spacious dock, a raft situated right in the middle of the inlet, and kayaks. We brought our own giant floaties to add more fun to our trip (and to avoid the seaweed).

transporting ourselves to the raft in the most hilarious way 🙂

We made the MOST out of our 3D2N stay by playing games, dancing with glow sticks, cooking, eating, drinking, swimming, inflating/deflating floaties, lighting up sky lanterns, taking lots of photos, basically just chillin’ and having fun. I have nothing more to say because our experience in Kalaw Place simply can’t be put into words.
